IMPORTANT
NOTES:
To participate with your dog on the first and subsequent
classes, you must complete the following:
1. Call Laurie or Jerry Stecker (847-705-9172) to reserve
a place in class. We reserve the right to exclude any dog we feel would
not benefit from training in our class.
2. Complete the information and registration forms (3 forms) and bring
to class. These forms can be found at Biscuits & Bows and on the Biscuits
& Bows website (bottom of this page).
3. Bring proof of vaccinations to the first class.
4. Checks made out to AYLWYN LLC. Cash also accepted. Sorry,
we do not accept credit cards.
5. Buckle or Martingale collar, 6-foot leash, small / soft treats are
suggested.
PUPPY
CLASS
Mondays 6:30-7:15 pm
$125.00
Format
includes introductory obedience and advice on behavior, socialization
and overall responsible dog ownership. This class is helpful for anyone
starting a new relationship with a puppy. Use of some agility equipment
and games are a part of the class and afford socialization experiences.
This class is especially geared for puppies younger than 6 months or for
smaller dogs.
BEGINNER
CLASS
Mondays 7:15-8:00 pm
$125.00
The
topics in this class are fundamentals such as loose leash walking, being
able to sit, down, stand, stay, come when called, etc. The goal is individual
in terms of duration, distance and distractions for each puppy/dog. Use
of some agility equipment and games are used to reinforce obedience skills.
This class is geared for older/ larger puppies and appropriate adult dogs.
CANINE
GOOD CITIZEN / THERAPY DOG PREP. CLASS
Mondays 8:00-8:45 pm
$125.00
or $25.00 per class
This
class will cover accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting,
appearance and grooming, loose leash walking, walking through a crowd,
sitting / downing on command and staying in place, coming when called,
appropriately reacting to another dog and to distractions and experiencing
a supervised separation. Additional training for those interested in THERAPY
DOG work will be covered. Prior obdience training for those interested
in therapy dog work is extremely helpful. This class needs a mininum of
three dogs. Visit Canine
Good Citizen or Therapy Dogs International
or Delta Society for evaluation
dates and locations.
Semi-Private
or Private instruction available on Monday following the last class for
$25.00 per 30-minute session at Biscuits & Bows.
